What 2018 has taught me
As I reflect on my personal journey this past year, I know that the spiritual principles which ground me have truly been guiding and bringing to fruition so much growth in 2018 as I stepped into a new space my guidance had been nudging me towards for several years now!
I had already been on a lifelong spiritual journey of growing in my own knowledge, for many years prior, and had been sharing this with others in my community through teaching Reiki classes, Chakra classes, and my Archangels class as well as hosting spiritual events like Red Tents.
In addition, I had created my healing practice through which I could regularly help clients both locally as well as through long-distance sessions. I was happy to have these varied opportunities in which to do these things as it has always been one of my greatest pleasures to facilitate healing and to help others shine more brightly through mentoring them.
But, it was in 2018 that my life started taking on a new trajectory, and I saw such an expansion of my soul’s intention to bring forth true joy and healing in others. All of it was set in motion at the end of 2017 when I made the commitment to myself to bring my knowledge and the things that I have to offer, to women all over the world.
Listening to my guidance and sharing my heart fearlessly
I realized that for me to best fulfill my purpose, it was time to finally follow the nudge of my guidance. It had been calling to me for a while, prior, and preparing me toward this direction that I would take to finally create a vehicle for women, online.
So, in January of 2018, I launched my online membership, Beauty Flourishing. And these beautiful, amazing women, many from my local tribe, and some, whom I had never met before, began to join based on my promise of what I wanted to create!
In the beginning, there was no content. Instead, I was creating all of it week by week, from meditations to arts and crafts and spiritual teachings. I poured my heart into each aspect as I shared the things that I have gathered over a lifetime and which I have been using successfully in my life - the things that ground me.
It was a big commitment on my part as it meant that I would create a calendar and follow it consistently every week. And this taught me that to be successful, it is essential for us to make commitments and follow through all the way. There is no halfway in - you're either committed, or you're not.
Today, just one year later, my membership is thriving and has grown into a beautiful community of women supporting each other! I am both humbled and thrilled to have the honor of guiding them through weekly activities and monthly themes, and it has been one of the most rewarding things I have ever done in my life!
Fulfilling my expansion despite fears and personal loss
In order to step out, I had to let go of any hesitations and fears around putting myself out there and began regular Facebook Live appearances. I hosted my weekly Intuitive Play, as well as many other Facebook Live events, like live meditations and built my online community while expanding my local tribe. I am incredibly proud of consciously growing my Silke’s Art Community Facebook group which has become a nurturing home for spiritually-centered women.
Through my commitment to release any fears and blocks in my own way that would limit me from fully being a leader and mentor to others in these capacities, I have gained so much this year - most of all beautiful new connections and relationships.
But this was also a year in which I had to say goodbye to my dear friend, Silvia Flores, who tragically passed away. Through her passing, I learned that no matter how much we tell someone else what we can so clearly see written in their path in an attempt to rescue them from it, they have to step through that space on their own. Silvia could not let go of a relationship that was detrimental to her, and she lost her life over it. In her passing and my assisting her through the layers after her death, I was able to see a much broader perspective which I will share some day. But for now, let me just say that once again at this moment, I have been reminded how precious our time here truly is, and how important it is for all of us to create from our soul’s passion.
Creating space for growth has impacted all aspects of my year
Overall, personally, it has been just a fantastic year of growth and expansion as I have allowed more and more space inside of myself and room for my own spiritual practice to guide me through all daily experiences.
One particularly rewarding thing I learned firsthand was how our internal and external state is always interconnected. This was so beautifully reflected through the remodel of our home which began two years ago but was somewhat derailed for a time, until it was finally completed by the most wonderful contractor as I made the conscious decision to find and work with the best, regardless of cost. The lesson to invest in myself, knowing the value that it brings when I make the commitment to honor myself enough to choose the best, was invaluable.
This has encouraged me to choose to consciously grow and expand and be with the people that light me up. I have also learned to be a lot more conscious about who I want to follow for my own learning and how to constructively use my time and energy for the best, and these principles have been guiding me for this whole year.
Reflections on lessons learned, and hopes for the future
We all have those things inside of us which make us feel alive and ‘home.’ It is up to each of us to find that which connects us to that place so we can step out and give to others.
I am blessed with a beautiful family and a simple, cozy life which my husband, Tim, and I consciously created when we moved to the states together. I have experienced the Law of Attraction in motion endless amounts in my lifetime, and I am so glad to know how to tap into it so I can create life from the inside out.
2018 was the year I build the foundation for my online courses and membership, made so many amazing new connections and lifelong friendships and extended myself more than ever before.
As I reflect on my personal experiences in 2018, I feel they confirm all the teachings I follow, and I am so thankful to be sharing these with others so that they, too, are empowered for the conscious co-creation of their journeys!
It has been my intention that Beauty Flourishing consistently holds space for women who are ready to live life more fully, honor themselves, and create space in their own lives for their self-care and their spiritual growth, and I am excited to see how this will continue to do so in the coming year.
It has been incredibly gratifying to see our members finding inspirations, spiritual growth, and healing within the membership.
Every woman deserves a HOME like that, a place in a community that 'gets' her, and a grounding anchor in her life to tune into any time she needs it.
Beauty Flourishing had its first birthday January 14th, and I am so excited to welcome more wonderful women into my community and my membership when the doors open again on February 4th.
My hope for the future is to always honor what time and gifts I have available to me to inspire others and to empower them to align with their own potential. If 2019 is anything like 2018 has been, I am sure this is going to be an amazing ride, and I look forward to the lessons and the love, and the continued sharing!
